What did you learn from making a PowerPoint Game?
- I learned how to link slides to other slides. I also realized how easy it is to make a Jeopardy game. I had always thought it would be a long, tedious project but I completed min in about 45 minutes.
What problems did you face while making your PowerPoint Game?
- I didn’t face any problems, really. I was able to find and make the tables quite quickly; and I was able to get the hyperlinks set up quickly. Also, I was able to find out how to make the links change colors after they were visited so I know which questions have been asked and which ones haven’t.
How did you overcome them?
- Because my other classes forced me to learn the latest edition of PowerPoint, I really didn’t have any challenges or problems that I needed to overcome. However, I did learn several new features of the program that I didn’t know about before.
How might you use a PowerPoint Game in your content area?
- I can use a PowerPoint Game to help my students refresh the content areas before quizzes and exams. I made my PowerPoint Game about the main plot elements of some of Shakespeare’s most famous plays: Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I believe it can be useful to help students review.
